Paddle out into the heart of the Rookery Bay to experience an incredible nightly event! As the sun sinks low in the sky, over 1,000 birds return from corners of Southwest Florida to rest on one small Rookery island. When arriving at the island there will be a handful of birds present, but soon will follow hundreds of birds from every direction as they cover every square inch of Mangrove space available like bees returning to the hive. Witness this incredible spectacle with a backdrop of a beautiful SWFL sunset before paddling back in the twilight to end a fantastic evening in the Estuary just before dark.

Join the biologist guides of Rising Tide Explorers on Sunday, February 20th at 4:30pm at Shell Island Road for a paddle at sunset! 

RSVP required as space is limited to 24 participants and each must have participated in a Rising Tide Tour, kayaking lessons, or prior experience approved by RTE staff. Cost is $65 per person.
