Join us Wednesday, March 3rd at 1:00pm in the Multipurpose Room for an ICP Educational Lecture.
Matthew Metcalf has lived in Southwest Florida since 2013 and obtained his master's degree from FGCU in 2017. His Masters work involved tracking and creating a management conservation plan for a federally threatened species of snake: the Eastern Indigo Snake.
He is currently a biology instructor at FGCU and a lead guide for Rising Tide Explorers. Matt continues his research on amphibians and
reptiles in South Florida, focusing on Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes, but has also worked with many other wildlife species throughout the Southeaster United States and throughout Central and South America. Matt will speak to us about snakes in Southwest Florida and how you can help with his research!
